Who am I?
Hello! I’m Jolene Goldbeck, an Osteopathic Manual Therapist (OMT) devoted to the art and science of osteopathy. I graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy’s esteemed 4,200-hour, four-year program, earning my M.OMSc (Member in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences). I am also an active member of Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN).
Before discovering the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), the educational path I was pursuing required a background in manual therapy. This led me to begin my journey in massage therapy as a stepping stone into osteopathy. I completed my two-year, 2,200-hour Registered Massage Therapy diploma with honors, just in time to discover the CAO, whose comprehensive Type 1 education aligned far more closely with my goals and passion for true osteopathic principles.
My deep appreciation for anatomy and the complexities of the human body continues to drive my commitment to understanding how optimal health can be achieved through a holistic, whole-body approach. I am passionate about helping patients restore balance, improve function, and move toward greater wellness through osteopathic care.
Outside of the clinic, I have a strong love for animals and look forward to beginning my studies in animal osteopathy within the next few years.
In addition to my private clinic, I am also available for appointments at the Edmonton Metro Osteopathic Clinic Wednesday through Friday and Sundays.
My story.
People often ask why, at 42, I chose to go back to school for six years.
The truth is, it never really felt like a choice.
There was a time when I lived with pain so intense I couldn’t sleep. Painkillers didn’t fix it—they just dulled everything and left me feeling disconnected. I felt stuck, exhausted, and out of options. Osteopathy was something I had never even heard of at the time, and I turned to it as a last resort.
And it changed everything.
I still struggle to fully put into words what that experience meant to me. How do you explain the impact of finally feeling relief after thinking it might never come? How do you measure getting your life back?
What I do know is this: that experience is what led me here.
Osteopathy isn’t just a career path for me—it’s something I believe in deeply, because I’ve lived it. I know what it feels like to need help and finally find it, and that’s what drives me to offer the same to others.
It may be a lifelong study, and I may have started later than some, but I am incredibly proud of this journey. I’m exactly where I’m meant to be—at the beginning of a meaningful career in a field I believe in with everything I have.
Why Congruence?
Congruency occurs when your outward expressions—such as your words and actions—align with your inner thoughts and feelings. This alignment means you are presenting an authentic version of yourself to the world.
In the human body, congruency describes the state in which various systems, structures, or signals are aligned and working together in a coordinated and balanced way.
Welcome to Congruence Osteopathy.
